A family of swindlers runs away from Istanbul to a small coastal town. Involved in an accident, they meet a beautiful-but-stubborn country girl, Zarife, who is the only one that knows the secret formula of a magical ointment.

Sensing an opportunity to become rich, the father of the family, Şinasi, is desperate to get his hands on the recipe so he encourages his two sons, Savaş and Barış, to make advances towards Zarife, with the one who wins her heart, also receiving a new car. So, Savaş, a macho gambler, and his brother Barış, a romantic rogue, begin to compete, only to both end up falling in love with her.
