Mustafaali, a 45-year-old man living in the tranquil Cokertme Village, leads a simple life deeply connected to nature, far removed from the chaos and ambitions of modern society. Content with the rhythms of the sea, the land, and the local community, he values peace and harmony over wealth or status. When Cavit, a wealthy businessman from Istanbul, arrives with plans to purchase Mustafaali’s land for a boutique hotel project, he is met with unexpected resistance. Despite generous offers and persuasive arguments, Mustafaali refuses to sell, even going so far as to offer Cavit free use of the land, challenging the businessman’s assumptions about success, happiness, and the pursuit of money.
As Cavit spends more time with Mustafaali, observing his serene daily life and the joy he finds in simplicity, he begins to question his own values and priorities. The city’s materialism and relentless pace lose their appeal in comparison to Mustafaali’s grounded philosophy. Inspired by this encounter, Cavit ultimately decides to leave his high-powered urban life behind, embracing a slower, more meaningful existence in Cokertme Bay. This heartfelt story explores the contrasts between modern ambition and timeless contentment, highlighting how true wealth lies not in possessions, but in the richness of life itself.
