Synopsis

Mustafali is a man liberated from all worldly ambitions, living a serene life in Çökertme Cove, following his own philosophy of simplicity and freedom. But when the illness of his estranged father calls him to Istanbul, Mustafali’s unconventional worldview collides with the bustling metropolis. A city of twenty million people, used to its own rules and standards of success, finds itself perplexed by this stranger who rejects money, accumulation, targets, and the relentless chase for achievement. Where did this peculiar man come from? Who is he to challenge a city so confident in its own truths?

In a fun and thought-provoking journey, Mustafali questions life in international companies, corporate offices, high-rise apartments, university cafeterias, and student homes. He challenges the modern world that constantly pushes us to buy more, fear the future, and measure life by success or failure. Fearless of societal pressure, Mustafali refuses to conform and inspires young people to live authentically, resisting the straightjacket of conventional expectations. This story is a humorous yet meaningful exploration of what it truly means to live freely, to find happiness beyond ambition, and to confront the illusions of a world obsessed with material wealth.
