Gülizar Yol Ayrımı tells the story of a woman who returns to her hometown years later to confront the buried truths of a tragic past. Hicabi’s life collapses when his wife disappears without a trace, leaving him alone to raise his children. His suffering deepens when his young son Ali and his brother Muharrem are found drowned in a stream under mysterious circumstances. Declared an unsolved murder, this devastating loss plunges Hicabi into unbearable grief. As if fate has not been cruel enough, he is forced to part ways with his beloved daughter Gülizar, marking a painful turning point that will shape both of their lives. 

Years later, Gülizar returns to the village as a public prosecutor, determined to uncover the truth behind the tragedies that destroyed her family. As she investigates the unresolved events of the past, long-hidden secrets begin to surface, exposing the heavy cost of silence, guilt, and broken bonds. Through Gülizar’s pursuit of justice, the film explores themes of loss, destiny, and emotional crossroads, as past and present collide in a haunting journey back to where everything began.
